Olwethu Sizani is the program associate at the foundation’s Southern Africa office. She supports the program staff on a variety of complex projects using her skills in data analysis, stakeholder communication, and project management. 

Prior to joining Ford, Olwethu worked at SGS Consulting as head of operations, at Data Innovators as the engagement manager, and she was the fund administrator for the Constitutionalism Fund, a collaborative grant between the Ford Foundation, Open Society Foundations, and Atlantic Philanthropies. She has extensive experience working in social justice, philanthropy, early childhood development (ECD),  and basic education in South Africa. She is also passionate about supporting data-informed decision making. 

Olwethu holds a bachelor’s of commerce honours degree in mathematical statistics and a bachelor’s of commerce degree in economics and statistics from the Nelson Mandela University and a postgraduate diploma in project management from the Stellenbosch University Business School.
